St Emilion Grand Cru
An impressive effort for the vintage, L'Arrosee's 2005 possesses a medium dark ruby color, a complex, Burgundian-like nose of jammy cherry fruit, sweet, smoky, toasty oak, as well as a touch of cedar. This medium-bodied wine reveals a sweet expansiveness reminiscent of a top class Burgundy. It offers a silky, velvety texture, and admirable complexity and elegance.

Cru Bourgeois, St Estephe
The 2005 le Boscq has a nice red fruit and sweet tobacco nose. It has a great palate, fruity, tannic well-balanced. This is an excellent Cru Bourgeois from an excellent vintage - a slight hint of green/herb that is just enough to add interest to the whole, and ensure a continued evolution of complexity.

St Estephe, Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptional
*** 90 Points - James Suckling ***
90 points James Suckling
This starts off a little bretty with barnyard undertones, but it blows off to flowers and rich fruit. Round and juicy, with yummy flavours. A long finish on this. Very spicy and earthy. St. Estephe character. Enjoy or age. (2/2011)
90 points Wine Spectator
Aromas of currant and fresh flowers follow through to a medium-to-full body, with chewy tannins and a slightly woody finish, but the fruit comes through. Turns long and pretty. Best after 2010. (JS, Web-2008)

Margaux Cru Bourgeois
A smooth wine, with vanilla wood flavours, very creamy. The fruit is almost incidental at the moment, but it’s black and firm enough, and with its juicy character should come through well.

Medoc (Presented in a dark mocha leather effect gift box as illustrated)
This wine from the outstanding 2005 vintage has deep red colour with crimson highlights. After swirling, the nose opens up to beautiful ripe red and black fruit underscored by fine-grained wood. Full attack, medium body, great balance. A classic, well-made Médoc, already showing great persistency.*Gilbert & Gaillard 2010*

Frome the outstanding 2005 vintage, the 2005 Picard has a very interesting nose of tobacco, cedar, spice and fruit. The palate stands up with high acidity and forest-floor notes. Medium finish should go well with pasta or red meat.

The wines from Saint-Estephe are richly coloured and deeply flavoured, and are known for their longevity.

Sauternes 1er Cru Classe (in Yquem Case)
Chateau d`Yquem is often described as the greatest sweet wine in the world. After centuries of family ownership, Yquem was finally sold in acrimonious circumstances to Louis Vuitton-Moët-Hennessy in 1999. However, its former owner and director Alexandre de Lur-Saluce remains in charge. Yquem is located on the highest hill in Sauternes and enjoys the best growing conditions in the whole appellation. The 110-hectare vineyard is planted with 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Only fully botrytized fruit is picked by the 150 highly skilled pickers and yields are so low that each vine produces only one glass of wine.
