Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild , 2005

Pauillac 4th Growth Classification

*** 93 points - Robert Parker ***

Reviews
"This property, which has benefitted enormously from tremendous investments from the Rothschild family that owns Lafite, has turned out a dense purple-colored wine in 2005. Offering broad, expansive, supple and silky tannin as well as loads of Asian plum sauce, blackcurrants, and sweet cherries, this wine is seductive, medium to full-bodied, and luscious. This successful effort from the Rothschilds should continue to drink well for at least another two decades.e robert parker.

Chateau le Boscq, 2005

Cru Bourgeois, St Estephe

The 2005 le Boscq has a nice red fruit and sweet tobacco nose. It has a great palate, fruity, tannic well-balanced. This is an excellent Cru Bourgeois from an excellent vintage - a slight hint of green/herb that is just enough to add interest to the whole, and ensure a continued evolution of complexity.

Chateau Meyney, 2005

St Estephe, Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptional

*** 90 Points - James Suckling ***
This starts off a little bretty with barnyard undertones, but it blows off to flowers and rich fruit. Round and juicy, with yummy flavours. A long finish on this. Very spicy and earthy. St. Estephe character. Enjoy or age. (2/2011)

***90 points Wine Spectator***
Aromas of currant and fresh flowers follow through to a medium-to-full body, with chewy tannins and a slightly woody finish, but the fruit comes through. Turns long and pretty. Best after 2010. (JS, Web-2008)

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2005

Chateau de la Font du Loup

The 2005 Chateau de la Font du Loup opened up delightfully on the 2nd night with loads of liquorice, tobacco and leather around a sweet fruit core. Tannins had melted away and left a deliciously full bodied wine that gives me hope for some good ageing potential.

Chateauneuf du Pape, 2005

Chateau Fortia

From the outstanding 2005 vintage and scoring 91/100 Parker Points, "I loved Fortia’s 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Baron. Made from 45% Grenache, 45% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre, aged all in concrete tank, it’s loaded with Provencal character and exhibits lots of sweet black cherries, currants, licorice and hints of olive and mint on the nose. Medium-bodied, elegant and supple, with outstanding balance and length, it’s drinking at point now, yet should hold nicely for another 3-5 years." Drink now - 2020.
